Taylor Swift becomes first artist to occupy top 10 spots of Billboard Hot 100 chart
It’s not every day that we get to say that an artist has achieved a feat previously inconceivable only months ago.
That’s exactly what happened to “Shake It Off” artist Taylor Swift on Monday (Feb. 2), as the song landed at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The achievement means that the single has now become the first song to achieve such a place since Janet Jackson in September 2004.
The previous record of No. 10 belongs to “All Around the World,” which was first released in 1990 and peaked at No. 1 when it peaked in December 1993.
On March 9, Billboard will release its chart of the 100 most popular songs of all time, one month before Rolling Stone will publish its list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.

As of late, some of Swift’s record-breaking Hot 100 hits — “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Shake It Off,” “Our Song,” “Mine,” “Style” and “Our Lips Are Sealed” — have been pulled from radio play and streaming services, according to Billboard.
While this won’t necessarily knock Swift down, it will likely delay the release of new music and the release of a new album, which she has yet to release her 2018 “ Reputation ” record at the time of publishing.
The album, which was initially set to release on Jan. 30, is now slated to hit shelves on April 18
